New Ark Mission's Visit

Distributing clothes and groceries to 'Auto Raja' orphanage home.

The project was to distribute dresses and groceries to orphanage/old age home maintained by Auto Raja in Bangalore.

Project commencement: February 2007.

Status: Completed. One time project.

Auto Raja is actually a very well known name among the poor and needed in Bangalore. T. Raja, popularly known as Auto Raja, is the founder and secretary of the New Ark Mission of India (Home of Hope), an organization dedicated to rescuing and rebuilding the lives of the destitute and dying people on the streets.

Some of our members thought of pooling clothes, and donating groceries to his organization. We all visited his home, distributed around 300 old clothes, donated groceries, met some of the people living there and spent some time with him. It has been a very memorable day for all of us.

Smayate has been consistently carrying out this project every year to help the needy and the poor by providing them with old and unused clothes.

Few members donated around 500 old clothes in April 2008 to The Little Sisters of the Poor - The Home For The Aged situated on Hosur road, Bangalore.
